It seems the time goes by faster and faster as I get older and older. I remember my dad once saying "today is the 4th of July and the next day you wake up and it's Christmas!" Those words seem to be awfully true these days. We always try to take a family picture when we are all together, it's not often, that ALL of us are together, but we do the best we can. We are all very busy people, "on call" 24/7 it seems, because of all of our electronics. I urge everyone to get your families together, slow down for a few hours and have your picture taken. Whether it's your immediate family or all the cousins and aunts and uncles, do it now! It doesn't have to be fancy and formal, just casual and calm, and you might find that it's actually a little fun!

![]() I want to believe that spring is here to stay! After the long, long, cold winter we definitely deserve a beautiful spring. It's hard to believe that it is graduation time already...again, where does the time go? My oldest child graduated from college, and as my dad so eloquently stated, "She just started kindergarten yesterday!" It won't be long, and the other two will be following in her footsteps. I would love to be able to preserve those special memories for you, through pictures. I am currently booking Senior Photo Sessions for the Class of 2015. But it's never too late, so if you are a procrastinator, like me, and still have not taken Senior Photos for the Class of '14, don't despair , call me and let's get out there and get them done. Congratulations to all the graduates from Kindergarten to college....go out and make a difference in the world! Time for that winter photo shoot! Seniors..love the snow? Let's go out and take portraits in the snow. Contact me at 630-362-3707 or kbromer@yahoo.com.

Currently booking SENIOR PORTRAITS!! Class of 2014 Snowy winter sessions are beautiful and unique! Also booking spring sessions! Let me capture this awesome time in your life with unique photos that express your inner and outer beauty! Do's and Don't's! DON'T wear distracting logos on your clothing DON'T wear something that you would never wear, i.e. suit and tie DON'T all wear the same color for your family portrait DON'T be trendy.....you want your photos to be timeless! DO be yourself! DO choose a neutral base color to coordinate your outfits around DO choose one or two accent colors to highlight your base color DO mix prints (small patterns) and solids to make your photos pop DO make sure all the "pops" of color coordinate, not every family member has to wear a pop of color DO make sure your shoes look good DO add you own personal touches, such as, scarfs, hats, jewelry or other items to personalize your photos. DO wear something that makes you feel great! Highlight your favorite features! The "What to Wear" boards were designed by Corina Nielsen.
Corina is a photographer and designer in the San Diego area. Thank you for the great visual ideas! ![]() “Self confidence is the most attractive quality a person can have. How can anyone see how awesome you are if you can’t see it yourself?” – Unknown “I don’t regret the things I’ve done, I regret the things I didn’t do when I had the chance.” –Unknown “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” - Joshua J. Marine “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” – Steve Jobs “Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.” – Unknown ![]() Wow, to be in 8th grade again and know what I know now! Famous words spoken by my mother. Now that I have my third 8th grader "graduating" from middle school, I know exactly what she was talking about. It's a time of so many feelings and emotions and changes. (for both the student and the parents!) Moving on from 8th grade to high school is a big step. It's a new beginning; a new start. One of many new beginnings in the lives of these young people. I'm very excited about a project that I have been working on just for 8th graders. The formal shots have been taken at school, some good, some not so good. I would like to offer an alternative to the "formal" 8th grade portrait that is taken at school. A 30 minute mini photo shoot! The location will be outside, the atmosphere will be casual and fun! Individual and group options will be available. Stay tuned for more details on scheduling your fun photo shoot! Bookings will start at the end of March, beginning of April! Remember 110 film? I can remember back when I was a kid taking pictures with a pocket camera. I also remember "flash cubes". That seems like a lifetime ago in so many ways. Photography certainly has come a long way...or has it? We are still taking pictures of the people we love and the places we've visited. We document all the special occasions in our lives with pictures. Every Christmas and birthday we are sure to get that special picture. I guess taking pictures is something that I have always done. It has always been part of who I am. After much self reflection, I have decided to turn my joy of taking pictures, and recording memories, into a business. It was not an easy decision. Taking the pictures is the easy part, it's the rest of it that was difficult. Am I good enough? How will I get clients? |
